Equip Payment Solutions is an independent sales company working in the point of sale & credit card processing space.
After two years of rapid growth, we now have reps in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, and Arkansas.
As we continue to expand throughout the US, we're looking for the best of the best sales reps to add to our team!
We equip and launch leaders in the sales industry to maximize profit, purpose, and marketplace ministry.
We call ourselves “marketplace ministry” because we serve those around us like Jesus served the world. Based on the values we find in the teachings of Jesus and Scripture, we’ve built an amazing team of people who strive to inspire each other professionally and personally. Thanks to the current opportunity in our industry, the team is growing rapidly and we’re always interviewing prospective sales reps.Â
Here’s what we’re looking for in a sales rep:
- Hard work. This isn’t a part-time or “side gig” opportunity. We ask for at least 90 days of full-time, hard work to learn the job well and create the kind of residual income you want. We’re looking for fast-learners and problem-solvers.Â
- Excellent communication and social skills. Are you quick on your feet in a conversation? A large part of our job is to create personal relationships and serve our merchants well. We love good value delivery!
- Drive. What’s your “why?” Do you have goals that stretch you? We’re looking for entrepreneur-minded people with a strong internal drive to achieve your personal best.Â
- Integrity. We want to be known for our strong character and leaving the world better than we found it. We want to always do what we say we’re going to do, even when it’s hard.Â
- Professionalism. There are good reps and bad sales reps out there, and we want to be the good ones! We want to be professional, reliable, and great at what we do.
- Good team mate. Our tried-and-true method of selling two-by-two has proven to increase our overall sales performance and each rep’s sustainability. A large part of each rep’s success is the ability to work well with their partner, our team, and our merchants.Â
- Driver's license and a dependable car. This role requires a lot of driving - it’s of the most fun parts of the gig!Â
- Ability to go 3-4 months without income. The good part of our comp plan is that it’s the best comp plan you’ll find anywhere! The downside is that because of the way the bonuses pay out, it typically takes 3-4 months to make really good income. The best way to think of it is that it’s like starting your own business, but instead of taking 5 years to turn a profit it takes 5 months! Below is a chart showing the basic breakdown for a rep selling 5 deals a month (average):

Speaking of the comp plan, that’s what attracts most people to join our team! Here’s a breakdown of the compensation plan:
Our compensation plan is the best we’ve seen anywhere, ever!
We often compare making a POS sale to “both selling a house and putting in a renter.” There’s significant bonus dollars for certain, but the growing monthly residual income potential is incredible. In short, selling with us for even a year or two has the potential to change the trajectory of you and your family.Â
Our reps get paid in three ways: up front bonuses, “True Up” bonuses, and monthly residuals. Here’s an example from a rep who’s been selling for 8-9 months:

- Up front bonuses. These gets paid out as soon as the deal is installed and processing cards (usually 3-4 weeks from sale.)
-
“True Up” bonuses. These are the largest bonuses, and part of what makes selling for Shift4 such an incredible opportunity. The “True Up” bonuses are basically an 18x the monthly residual, and they pay out 3-4 months after the sale.Â
-
Monthly residuals. This is a small commission percentage that each rep makes off of their merchants monthly credit card processing. The most exciting thing about monthly residuals is that they grow over time, and are relatively passive. Our highest performers have reached $10k, $12k, $15k in monthly residuals inside a year (not including bonuses.)

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do reps maintain monthly residuals?Â
The merchant contract is 30 months, and the average lifespan of a POS system in a restaurant is 44 months. We aim to be better than that though! With excellent customer service and responsiveness, many merchants have been with us for 5-10 years.Â
How many deals do reps typically sell in a month?Â
Our highest performing reps sell 10-15 deals in a month. Our average reps closes 5-6 deals a month.Â
How much does an average deal yield to each rep?Â
Assuming a deal is sold with our typical two-rep partnership, the average deal yields each rep ~$350 on the up front bonus, ~$1,900 for the True Up bonus, and ~$240/month on the residual.Â
What does an average work week look like for a sales rep?
Our teams typically start around 8:30-9am and end work around 5:30-6pm, as these are the best times to find owners in their restaurants. We occasionally work a Saturday morning or have weekend service calls, but those are not frequent. While we ask all new reps to work a full-time (40+ hour week) for the first 90 days, it's very flexible after that.
