This week, Shift4 will be giving us more insight on the announcement they made to our leadership team that they are moving us away from using a single CSM, and to the PreLaunch Team model. We will give you more information on this as we gather it and solidify our own internal processes.Â

In the meantime, we would like to let you know that Ingrid is going to be moving into the role of Pipeline Manager, starting this week. We are getting her up to speed as we get up to speed on the new Shift4 system.Â

Since we have a few more days with Karen, and I will be out of the country, I’d like for you to start interacting with Ingrid as the point person for any Karen questions that your trainer and Nick are not able to answer regarding anything new order related.Â

If you haven’t already, please take this Launch Control course in the SkyTab Academy. This will help you better guide your merchants to have a successful onboarding! If you or they aren’t up to speed on these things, it can delay the order significantly.

Important notes:Â
- Shift4 has emphasized that everything (including menus)Â needs to be submitted through Launch Control, and preferably not emailed to CSM / Pre Launch Team. It makes it easier for them to track and quickly access new files.Â
- You can help your merchant with this, you are able to access their Launch Control via Lighthouse login button in their MID in partner portal.Â
- To see who from Shift4 is assigned to the merchant as the point of contact for the PreLaunch Team > while you are in launch control tab of the merchant’s Lighthouse account, click on headset icon and the contact info should pop up. It might not populate immediately once deal is approved, so give it a day because Shift4 round-robin assigns a PreLaunch specialist and that can take a day or so. In addition to you, as the rep, that individual becomes their go to support to help them through Launch items.Â
